The RealityPlan 24.9 release is all about design and engineering tools to drive workflow accuracy and efficiency. We’re introducing key features to enhance collision detection, asset comparison, and data management.

Advanced Object Clash Detection

Accurate collision detection now allows for the early identification and resolution of design conflicts, which is essential for design, construction, and engineering projects.

• Imported 3D models and primitives can now undergo clash testing against other objects or the environment.
• Provides preliminary collision information with visual feedback (red/green outline indicates collision state).
• Displays clash locations as points to show where collisions have taken place.
• To Access: Right-click on the scene CAD/3D imported models and choose “Evaluate Clash.”

Visual Compare Tool

The AssetCompare tools provide a CAD to Mesh Deviation Tool and a CAD to Mesh Compare Tool, facilitating the quick identification of variances between as-built models and actual environments to ensure that the CAD model is accurate to the as-built existing conditions.

• Compare objects for deviations against other objects.
• Especially beneficial for evaluating alignment and deviations between CAD models and scanned meshes from point clouds.
• To Access: Accessible via the toolbar in the “Visualization Mode” menu.

Volume Measurement Tool

We’re expanding our support for drone capture datasets and have added a volume calculation tool to streamline the assessment of landfills and stockpile volumes for brownfield and greenfield projects.

• Measure terrain volume from a top-view perspective.
• How to Access: Accessible via the toolbar.

Photosphere Navigation and RealtyAsset parameters

Enhancements to the photosphere improve functionality and user experience, while new types of RealityAssets enable better categorization and management. Utilize pre-defined asset templates to efficiently document, and manage template parametrization to customize your asset handling.
