RealityPlan: creating RealityAssets parameters

A sneak peek at major Release 24.3 RealityPlan
In RealityPlan, users can now add and customize parameters linked to RealityAssets. Before we delve into this exciting feature, let’s take a quick refresher on how RealityAssets are defined.
Our team has developed a user-friendly visual workflow that simplifies the process of defining the shape of your RealityAssets. Users can easily create multiple bounding boxes to highlight each element of a specific asset and visually display what is taken from the meshed scan.
Using multiple bounding boxes, users can easily adjust them and navigate around the assets using the turntable at the bottom.
After creating a RealityAsset, parameters can be added:
- Custom fields for asset details.
- Groups for classification: Asset Type, Manufacturer, Model Type.
- Specifications: numeric values, external links, file attachments, and toggles.
We’re also working on supporting classification standards like IFC and CFIHOS to assist technical engineers with asset parameter definition.
Connecting metadata and documentation is essential to ensure that all project stakeholders are working with the most accurate version of the truth.
